Sometimes, a unique business idea emerges from unexpected challenges. For Vaibhav Gupta, the dynamic founder of CHEF KART, his frustration with hiring security guards and finding a cook for his home in Gurugram sparked an innovative solution.
As a cooking enthusiast, Vaibhav engaged deeply with chefs and realized that managing a kitchen and retaining customers was a significant challenge. Inspired by the potential of online services and technology, he saw an opportunity to address this gap with a smart, tech-driven approach.
“I recognized a clear need and saw a tremendous opportunity. I decided to turn this availability issue into a service offering,” Vaibhav explains.
In May 2022, CHEF KART was launched—an app designed to provide convenience without sacrificing quality or taste.
Your kitchen, your ingredients, your menu—just relax and enjoy the meal.
“We focus on creating a seamless experience for both our home chefs and clients,” says Vaibhav. “As a trusted and verified app on the Google Play Store, we ensure top-notch service.”
What sets CHEF KART apart is its commitment to quality. Each home chef is handpicked, trained, and rated on various benchmarks of expertise and experience. The platform is designed to match clients with the perfect chef based on their tastes and cuisine preferences, right in the comfort of their homes.
Here’s how it works: A customer registers on the app, specifies their requirements, and receives a response with available chefs for the requested day, time slot, and cuisine. Subscription plans start at INR 3,000 per month and go up to INR 4,500 per month for more variety in daily home food.
CHEF KART also offers options for special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays, and home cooking for house parties has become a popular trend.
More than just a business, CHEF KART is a passion-driven venture with significant growth potential. Having fulfilled over 1 million sessions in the past two years, the concept has gained considerable traction. Currently available in Gurugram and Noida, CHEF KART plans to expand to major cities including Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and beyond.
“This sector holds endless possibilities. We understand the deep craving for homemade food in India and are ready to meet this demand, offering clients the authentic taste they desire in their own cities,” Vaibhav says.
